1 can of pears in syrup

Drain the pears and place them in a shallow baking dish with the cut side down
Cook the syrup with the remaining ingredients for 10 minutes
Pour over the pears and roast in a moderate oven for 20 minutes
Serve warm, 4 to 6 servings.
