2 firm pears
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of sugar
whipped cream
Chocolate Sauce:
1/4 cup of milk
1/3 cup of melted chocolate
2/3 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
2 firm pears

Chocolate Sauce:
1/4 cup of milk
1/3 cup of melted chocolate
2/3 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
Peel the pears, leaving the stems intact
In a pot mix together water, vanilla and sugar
Add the pears and cook slowly until they're cooked but still firm
Let it cool and refrigerate in the same warm water
When serving, remove the seeds from below without damaging the pear
For the sauce: Mix all ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a boil, stirring constantly
Stop stirring and let it simmer for 3 minutes
Remove from heat and stir well until it thickens slightly
In a bowl or platter place a ball or two tablespoons of whipped cream, top with a pear slice and cover with warm chocolate sauce
Serves 2 people.
