3/4 cup of sugar

3 cups of scalded milk

Melt 1/2 cup of sugar until it turns golden brown
Add in warm water slowly, stirring well to dissolve the sugar and form a syrup
Divide the mixture evenly among 6 individual molds
Beat eggs lightly with the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, salt, and vanilla
Gradually add in scalded milk, stirring well
Pour into prepared molds
Place in a baking dish and bake in a slow oven
Fill the baking dish with boiling water to reach almost the same level as the pudding
Bake for 40 minutes or until the center of the puddings is firm but not hard
Remove from the water immediately
Serve warm or chilled.
