Mix the flour, sugar, salt, butter or margarine, lemon juice, and grated lemon zest
Beat the egg yolks well, then add the milk and mix thoroughly
Add the flour mixture gradually, stirring well
Add the beaten egg whites, stiffened to a meringue-like consistency
Distribute the batter into individual, buttered ramekins
Place them in a water bath and bake for about 45 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on top
Let it cool
When this dessert is ready, there will be a layer of cake on top and a layer of pudding below
Serve warm
