Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°C)
Grease a refractory form with capacity for 1 liter and reserve
Place the pear cubes and raisins in a large bowl
Add the milk and let it rest for 30 minutes
Mix the eggs and sugar, beating lightly
Add the pear mixture and the remaining butter or margarine and vanilla extract
Place in the prepared form and put in a hot water bath sufficient to reach 2/3 of the depth of the form
Put in the oven and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until, inserting a toothpick in the center, it comes out clean
Serve warm
