Preheat the oven to (170°C) moderate
Soak the raisins in brandy for 1/2 hour
Arrange the buttered peach slices in two layers in a refractory dish of about 30 x 18 cm
Heat the milk until it boils, then remove from heat and add sugar, stirring well until dissolved
Beat eggs and egg yolks
Add milk slowly with vanilla extract, beating well
Place raisins with brandy over the peaches
Cover with the egg mixture
Put the dish into a water bath with boiling water and bake for 40 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out clean
Serve warm, or refrigerate overnight and serve cold
