Hull the strawberries, remove the seeds, cut them into chunks and place them in a medium saucepan
Add the remaining ingredients, mix well, cover and bring to high heat
When boiling, reduce the heat and cook for about 20 minutes or until the strawberries are soft
If the liquid evaporates, add a little water so it doesn't stick at the bottom of the pan
Remove from the heat and mash the strawberries well with a fork, until you get a puree
Serve immediately.
