Butter and sprinkle sugar on the round mold. Reserve

Bring water to a boil with sugar, stirring until it dissolves
Simmer for 5 minutes or until you get a thick syrup
Let it cool

Add butter, mix well, remove from heat, and let it cool
Preheat the oven to moderate temperature
Combine eggs and grated coconut with the syrup and mix well
Place in the mold

Bake in a water bath over a large baking sheet with cold water
Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center
It should come out clean.
