Cook the quirera in water for 30 minutes, or until it becomes tender (if it thickens too much, add a little more water)
Drain and reserve
Fry the bananas in olive oil and butter or margarine, mixed together, and drain on paper towels
Place half of the quirera in a 30x20cm refractory form and top with fried banana slices
Cover with cheese and the remaining quirera
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for 20 minutes
Serve warm, accompanied by meats
