Directions

Boil the milk in a water bath with boiling water

Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and salt with a little cold milk to get a paste and add it to the hot milk

Mix well until thickened

Cover the pan and cook for an additional 5 minutes

Add the butter and vanilla

Mix, remove from heat, and let cool

Spread the vanilla cream filling over a cake base and some cut strawberries

Place the other cake top and decorate with whipped cream and strawberry strips.
