In a small bowl, whisk eggs lightly. Reserve
In a large saucepan, combine flour, cornstarch, and salt
Mix well
Add milk gradually, stirring constantly to dissolve cornstarch
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth
Place about 1/2 cup of this mixture over the eggs and mix well to incorporate
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes homogenous again
Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and chocolate chips
Stir until dissolved and the mixture becomes smooth
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes
