In a large skillet, sauté the onion in butter or margarine until it's soft and translucent
Add the pistachios, chicken bouillon cubes, and water
Bring to a simmer, stirring the bouillon cube until dissolved
Remove from heat
Add the bread and walnuts
Mix well so everything is evenly moistened.
