Fry the onion in butter or margarine until golden
Add the wine, broth, salt, and black pepper to taste
Let it come to a boil and continue simmering for 5 minutes, stirring constantly
Cover the pan and reduce heat
Continue cooking until the rice is tender (about 15 minutes)
Remove from heat, add sour cream cheese, cover, and let it rest for about 4 minutes until the cheese melts
Stir well and serve immediately
