(in simmering water) rinsed and chopped
'1/4 cup dry white wine'
'1 liter vegetable broth'

Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet
Sauté the onion until translucent
Add the Arborio rice, stirring for 2 minutes to coat the rice with butter and toast the grains
Add half of the figs and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently
Add the white wine and let it simmer until the liquid is almost completely absorbed
Add the vegetable broth, a little at a time, stirring constantly
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 18 minutes
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Stir in the remaining figs, butter, and brie cheese
Serve immediately.
