Pound the black pepper well and rub it on both sides of the beef
Mince the garlic and mix it with salt; use the back of a spoon to mash it well until you get a paste
Spread it evenly on both sides of the beef
Melt the butter or margarine in a large pan; add the olive oil
Fry the beef for about 5 minutes per side, over medium heat
Then put it in the oven and roast for about 30 minutes, until it reaches your desired level of doneness
Cut it into thin strips
