1 Mix together the flour, yeast, and salt
Mix the milk and egg and add to the flour
Knead until a smooth dough forms
Add the melted butter or margarine and mix well
2 Wash the sausages and pat dry with paper towels
Insert a toothpick into one end of each sausage, leaving about half uncoated
Hold the sausage by the toothpick and dip it into the dough, coating evenly
Fry in hot oil until the dough is golden brown
Drain on paper towels and serve hot immediately
These sausages can be prepared ahead of time and reheated in the oven by placing them directly on the rack.
