2 slices of bread
2 tablespoons (or chives) of salted butter or margarine
1/2 hard-boiled egg, chopped
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon of mustard, for garnish

Cut the bread crust
Spread butter on each slice and cut into diagonal triangles using a serrated knife
Mix the egg with mayonnaise and mustard in a bowl
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding a pinch of salt if necessary
Fill one half of the bread with the filling and top with the other triangle
Garnish with a little mustard and sauce
Make 2 sandwiches.
