For the dough
3 1/2 cups of wheat flour
1 tablet of biological yeast (15 g)
1/2 cup of warm milk
1 teaspoon of salt
8 eggs
1/2 cup of butter
5 tablespoons of sugar
For the syrup
2 cups of sugar
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 cup of rum

Prepare the syrup: combine the sugar, water and cinnamon in a saucepan
Heat over high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves
Stop stirring, let it simmer for 10 minutes and add the rum
Unmold the savarin, make a few holes in it with a skewer and ladle the syrup into it gradually, until it's nicely moist
Serve chilled.
