1/2 cup of milk
salt and black pepper to taste

Bring the water or chicken broth to a boil
Add the broccoli and cook until tender
Blend in a blender
Mix the flour with the milk
Return the creamed soup to the pot
Add the milk and flour mixture
Stir well and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly
Check the seasoning and add salt and black pepper if needed
