6 slices of smoked bacon
3 medium onions, cut into rings
8 sausage links, cut into rings
5 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 8 pieces each
2 cups of fresh or canned corn
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of cumin
2 bouillon cubes
4 cups of water
1 cup of white wine
4 cups of milk

Fry the bacon slices in a pot over medium heat until crispy and golden brown
Remove from heat, drain on paper towels, and set aside
Add the onions and sausage rings to the same pot and fry until the onions are caramelized
Add the sweet potatoes, corn, salt, black pepper, cumin, bouillon cubes, and water to the pot
Mix well and bring to a boil
Tame the pot and simmer for 30 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender
To serve, remove some of the cooked sweet potato pieces, add the white wine and milk to the remaining mixture in a blender, and blend until smooth
Transfer the mixture back to the pot, whisk well, and bring to a simmer without letting it boil
Serve immediately and garnish with the reserved crispy bacon, chopped.
