Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan over low heat
Slightly caramelize the onions and add 4 cups of beef broth
Close the lid of the saucepan, secure with the valve
Simmer for 10 minutes
Immediately cool the saucepan under cold water
Serve the soup in individual bowls covered with poultry seasoning and Parmesan cheese
Serve 4 to 6 servings.
