5 cups of chicken broth
Salt and black pepper to taste
Chives for garnish

Melt the butter and sauté the onion until it's translucent
Add the garlic and let it brown
Add the okra and stir for about 3 minutes
Add the broth, salt, and pepper, and wait for it to boil
Lower the heat and cook for approximately 20 minutes or until the okra is tender
Let it cool and transfer it to a blender
Blend until smooth and return it to the pot
Reheat and sprinkle with chives
Serve with toasted pecan cubes.
