3 cups of cold water
1 1/2 cups of sugar
2 sticks of cinnamon
2 cups of red wine
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of grated orange peel

In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon
Stir until the sugar is dissolved
Let it boil and simmer for 5 minutes without stirring
Strain into a bowl
Let it cool slightly
Add the red wine, lemon juice, and grated orange peel
Let it cool completely
Place in a shallow container and put in the freezer for about 2 hours, stirring every half hour
Transfer to a serving dish and place in the freezer until firm
Serves 6.
