Melt the butter in a skillet, allowing the onion to caramelize and brown slightly
Add the cooked pine, processed and cut into slices, and let it cook until lightly toasted

Gradually incorporate the cooked pine mixture, along with the grated cheese
Gently fold in the beaten egg whites
