6 ears of green corn
8 1/3 cups whole milk (2 liters)
3 1/2 cups water
1 cup sugar

Remove the kernels from the ears with a knife
Place them in a blender with 4 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of water
Blend until you get a homogeneous mixture
Strain through a sieve and pour into a pot
Add sugar and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 30 minutes or until thickened well
Let it cool and blend again in the blender with the remaining milk and water
Refrigerate until serving time.
