4 egg whites
300g of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla

Beat the egg whites until frothy
Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating well
Add the vanilla and mix carefully
Using a piping bag, form long shapes on a lightly floured surface or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Place in a moderate oven and allow to dry without browning
If desired, dip one end of each shape into melted semi-sweet chocolate.
