8 small balls of vanilla ice cream (400g)

In a medium saucepan, combine tamarind, confectioner's sugar, water, and cognac
Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the flame and simmer for about 10 minutes or until slightly thickened
Remove from heat and add chopped nuts
Let it cool down
Serve in four individual bowls
Place 1 ball of ice cream, a bit of tamarind sauce, and whipped cream on top
Repeat the layers and serve immediately
