In a medium saucepan, combine the tamarind paste, confectioner's sugar, water, and whiskey
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until slightly thickened
Remove from heat and add the chopped walnuts
Let cool
Serve in four individual servings
Place one ball of sorbet, a little tamarind syrup, and some whipped cream on each serving
Repeat layers and serve immediately
