4 washed and seeded tangerines
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
6 ground cardamoms

Cut the tangerines into thin slices with a sharp knife
Gently remove the seeds and peel
Set aside the fruit
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water, and bring to medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves
Let it simmer for 10 minutes or until a smooth syrup forms
Remove from heat and let cool
Place the tangerine slices in a serving dish and pour the syrup over them
Sprinkle with ground cardamom and refrigerate until serving.
