Dough: In a mixer, cream the sugar and butter until light and fluffy
Add the eggs and mix well
Add the flour, baking powder, and milk, alternating with the pineapple syrup and mixing delicately
Pour into a greased and floured mold and bake in a medium oven. Reserve
For the filling, heat the milk, cornstarch, egg yolks, and vanilla extract over low heat, stirring until thickened
Assembly: Spread the cold cream on top of the dough and cover with pineapple
Finish with cherries.
