Place the blackberries in a saucepan and cover with water
Add 1 cup sugar and bring to a boil
Remove the stems, chop well, and reserve
Beat the butter with the sugar and eggs, one at a time
Sift the dry ingredients together
Alternate adding to the mixture flour, milk, and some blackberries
Finish by adding lemon juice
Bake in 3 greased and floured tart pans
Moisture the dough with the blackberry syrup
Fill with remaining blackberries and whipped cream
Garnish with chopped blackberries and whipped cream
