1 Preheat the oven to 180°C
Beat well one cup of sugar with butter
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat again after each addition
Add sifted flour with yeast and knead until forming a homogeneous dough
2 In a smooth, floured surface, open the dough and line the bottom and sides of a non-stick baking dish
Poke the dough's bottom with a fork and bake for 10 minutes. Reserve
3 Beat egg whites until frothy, add two tablespoons of sugar and beat again
Add vanilla and mix well. Reserve
4 Cut marmalade into thin slices, spread over cold dough and top with meringue
Sprinkle with chopped nuts and bake until golden.
