2 cups of whole wheat berries with hull, left to soak for two hours with enough water to cover them
1 tablespoon of sweet clover seed crushed
8 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 cup of black raisins without seeds
1/2 cup of white raisins without seeds
3/4 cup of raw almond without peel
1/2 cup of coarsely chopped pecans
In a pot, combine the wheat with the soaking water
Add more 3 cups of water and sweet clover and bring to a boil over high heat
Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes or until the wheat is soft and the liquid has thickened slightly (if necessary, add more hot water to prevent the liquid from drying out)
Add sugar and let it simmer for a few minutes
Remove from heat, let cool and mix in raisins, almonds, and pecans
Wait for it to chill and serve when ready
