Mix all sauce ingredients
Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes with a lid
Let it cool slightly and blend well in the blender
Prepare the meatballs: cook spaghetti, drain, and reserve
Mix remaining ingredients
Season to taste
Form balls of about 3 cm diameter
Wrap each one with some spaghetti strands
Press the seam tightly inside the ball
Fry in hot oil until golden brown on all sides
Drain and serve with warm sauce, portioning out 16 meatballs
