1 piece of lemon peel

The next day, place the plums, along with the water, in a saucepan
Add the clove, cinnamon, and lemon peel
Bring to a simmer over low heat, cooking for 20 minutes with the lid on
Remove from heat, let cool, and serve with the cooking liquid
