In a large skillet, melt the butter and add the onion
Cook until softened
Stir in the rice and cook for a few minutes

In another saucepan, heat the white wine and beef broth together and pour over the rice
Season with salt and thyme
Cover and simmer over low heat until the rice is tender (about 20 minutes)

Garnish with coarsely chopped parsley and serve.
