Mix the rice, water, salt, and butter in a 3-liter pot
Place the pot over high heat and, when the water starts to boil, reduce the heat and stir the rice once with a fork
Cover the pot well and cook slowly for 12 to 16 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed
Serve 2 to 4 portions.
