Place the onion, garlic, and olive oil in a large bowl
Microwave for 2-3 minutes on high, until the onion is translucent
Finely chop the red cabbage and add it to the rice
Add the sausage, salt, and black pepper, and mix well
Heat the water in another bowl and microwave for 3 minutes on high
Pour the hot water over the rice and microwave again for 20 minutes on high or until the rice is tender
Let it rest for 5 minutes.
