Clean the asparagus and cook it in boiling salted water until tender
Drain well
Place the entire asparagus stalks on a baking sheet
Pour 3 tablespoons of olive oil over the asparagus
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese
Slice the garlic clove in half and sauté it gently in the remaining olive oil for 5 minutes; do not let it brown
Remove the garlic
Take the asparagus to lightly brown it in the oven, with the heat turned up
While the asparagus is browning, crack the eggs into the olive oil with the garlic
Cover the pan and let it cook slowly for 3 minutes
Serve two eggs over each portion of asparagus
If desired, sprinkle with paprika
