Peel the bananas
Cut each banana in half lengthwise and then into quarters, and reserve
Mix together butter, sweetened whipped cream, and cinnamon in a skillet
Heat gently while stirring constantly until smooth
Add the bananas and coat thoroughly with the sauce for 3-4 minutes
Remove from heat
Warm the rum in a separate pan
Pour over the bananas and light
Use a long-handled spoon to moisten the bananas with the sauce as the flame dies out
Serve by placing a scoop of vanilla ice cream on each plate, topped with banana slices and sauce
