8 orange peels
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 cup of water
5 tablespoons of rum
1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Peel the oranges
Grate the white part of 3 orange peels
Cut these peels into thin and long strips
Place these strips in a saucepan
Cover with water
Let it simmer slowly for 10 minutes
Drain and reserve
In a saucepan, mix the sugar and water
Let it boil and cook for about 10 minutes or until a medium syrup forms
Remove from heat
Dip each orange in the syrup and place on a grid to drain
Add the orange peel and the rum liquor to the syrup left in the saucepan
Add cinnamon and heat until the peel becomes transparent
Remove the peel from the syrup and reserve
Arrange the oranges on a plate that can be taken to the table
Drain the remaining syrup over the oranges
Arrange the peels on top
Chill in the refrigerator for some hours before serving
Serves 8 portions.
