Make ahead: three days in advance
Preheat the oven to 150°C (branding)
Grease a 32 x 23 cm baking dish
Combine all ingredients except for the egg whites and peanuts in a bowl
Beat with an electric mixer until well mixed
Spread in the prepared baking dish and brush with the lightly beaten egg whites
Sprinkle with peanuts and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until golden brown
Cut immediately into squares, rectangles, or lozenges
Remove from oven and let cool
Store in an airtight container at least three days before serving
