Preheat the oven to a moderate temperature (170°F)
Grease a baking dish well
Spread half of the sweet potato slices in the dish, sprinkle with half of the indicated amount of flour, salt, black pepper, onion, green pepper, and butter or margarine
Add the remaining sweet potatoes and sprinkle with the other half of the ingredients
Pour the milk over the top
Place in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until a golden crust forms on the surface
