1 3/4 pounds of sweet potato
1 minced garlic clove
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of fresh heavy cream
1/2 cup of milk
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of grated cheddar cheese

Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and peel them
Cut into thin slices and place in a baking dish
Add the minced garlic, butter, heavy cream, milk, salt, and black pepper
Bake at low heat until the sweet potato is cooked through but still firm (al dente)
Use a spatula to remove the sweet potato from the baking dish and arrange on a serving platter
Drizzle with the cooking liquid and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese
Place in the oven until the top is golden brown
Serve immediately with grilled chicken strips
