3.5 lbs of potato
1 minced garlic clove
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of grated cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Wash the potatoes in cold water and peel them
Slice into thin rounds and place in a baking dish
Add the minced garlic, butter, heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper
Cook at low heat until the potatoes are tender but still firm
Use a spatula to remove the potatoes from the baking dish and arrange on an ungreased serving dish
Drizzle with the cooking liquid and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese
Serve immediately.
