1/2 kg of manioc (cassava)
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of butter
3 1/4 cups of water
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of chopped green onion
salt and black pepper to taste

Peel the manioc
Cut into 2 cm squares or so
Melt the butter and garlic in a pan over medium heat until the garlic is golden
Add the manioc and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add the water and cook covered in a pot, until the manioc is tender
Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Remove from heat, add parsley and green onion
Stir the mixture well
Serve in 4 portions.
