2 tablespoons of butter
3 sliced onions
2 bell peppers, seeded and sliced
Cognac to taste for flambéing
Salt and black pepper to taste

Cognac to taste for flambéing
Salt and black pepper to taste
Season the steaks with salt and black pepper
In a skillet, melt half the butter and fry the steaks one by one until desired doneness
Reserve warm
In the same skillet, sauté the onion and bell peppers until they're caramelized and add Cognac to taste
Remove from heat, tilt the skillet slightly with a lighter and flambé the Cognac
When the flame dies down, serve immediately over the hot steaks.
