Beat the butter until creamy
Add the egg, water, and vanilla extract and beat for an additional 5 minutes
Combine the flour, baking powder, and beat until a smooth batter forms
Add the flavoring and beat for another 5 minutes
Fold in the shredded coconut
Shape into balls of 1.5 cm diameter and flatten slightly with a fork
Place on lightly greased baking sheets and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
Yield about 85 morsels.
