Sift together the flour, sugar, cream, baking soda, and salt
Put in a bowl and make a hole in the middle
Add the vegetable shortening and lightly beaten eggs
Mix with your fingertips to obtain homogeneous consistency
Divide the dough into several parts
Make small cords with your hands and tie the ends
Arrange the cookies on a greased baking sheet and brush with egg
Bake in a preheated oven and remove from heat when cold.
