Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (375°F)
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon
Set aside
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, oats, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy
Gradually add the flour mixture, oatmeal, and chocolate chips
Mix well
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets
Bake for 10 minutes
Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
